Everything was just wild, we can hardly remember what happened. It all happened so fast, we started out without fire, and we ended as prisoners. It all started after Jack and his crew stole Piggy's glasses. Without the glasses we had no fire, we had no hope of being rescued.
That morning we decided we needed to get Piggy's glasses back. Piggy was thinking he could just reason with Jack, tell him that it was the right thing to do, boy was he wrong. Ralph decided we would go find Jack and his tribe and try to re-obtain the specs. Ralph said we should try and look somewhat presentable, you know, clean ourselves up a bit. He really didn't ask for our opinion which kind of hurt our feelings. But we decided we would take some spears, just in case somethiing went down.
As we treaded down the island we had to stop and guide the newly blinded Piggy so that he wouldn't walk ino the ocean. We neared the spot of the feast, the sand, the sand had red stains in it. Terror, hatrid, and sadness entered us as we passed along. Thoughts of Simon entered our heads, the terror we caused him, the hatrid towards ourselves for what we did, and the sad emotions entering our bodies knowing he can never come back. Ralph finally spoke up and knew where the hunters had gone, Castle Rock.
We neared the neck of land that leaded to Castle Rock. We felt nervous that our encounter with the new found chief would be not so pretty. As we walked along the narrow neck of land Piggy got scared that he would fall off the cliff because he could here the waves crashing on the side of the neck. We urged him along and kept moving toward Castle Rock. The secind we git there Roger confronts us, the second he does Ralph laughs and blows the conch. All the hunters emerge from Castle Rock alertly at the sound of the conch. To us this meant that through all of their savageness, they still had a bit of respect for the conch.
Jack came out of the woods and Ralph confronted him immediately, a modern day war of the worlds was to happen. Ralph called Jack a thief one second and the next they were fighting each other with spears. After they finished Jack had some of his tribe members tie us up and they took us into Castle Rock. Roger then launched a boulder and it hit Piggy, sent him flying forty feet before he landed in the water, his brains spilling out of his head. After that, we were prisoners of Jack's. We had two choices, live and join his tribe or face the same fate as our beloved friend Piggy.
To think, all of this over a pair of specs. Damn!!

Ernie-
Sorry I'm commenting so late. I like the way you show Samneric's regret over Simon's murder. Can you go into the same amazing amount of detail with the confrontation at Castle Rock as you did the trip there?
